Through guided steps and meaningful conversations, you’ll explore who we are as a church, strengthen your walk with Christ, and discover practical ways to serve with confidence and purpose.

  • 101

    Connections 101 is the perfect starting point for anyone new to Connections. In this brief but meaningful introduction, you’ll get to know who we are, what we believe, and how you can become part of our growing church family.


    In this class, you’ll learn about the Vision and Mission that drive everything we do, along with the Four Pillars that shape our ministry:

    • Missions & Outreach
    • Weekend Worship Opportunities
    • Connect Groups
    • Family Ministries — including Students & Kids


    We’ll also walk through a simple overview of our Core Beliefs and introduce you to our church leadership team, giving you the chance to meet our pastors and ministry leaders.

  • 201

    Connections 201 is designed to help you grow deeper in your personal relationship with God and strengthen your understanding of the core foundations of the Christian faith. Whether you’re new to following Jesus or simply looking to grow, this class equips you with tools that support lifelong spiritual development.


    In this class, you’ll explore:

    • Our Doctrinal Beliefs — what we believe and the biblical reasons behind them
    • How to Read Your Bible — practical starting points, study tools, and trusted translations
    • How to Pray — developing a meaningful, personal conversation with God
    • Spiritual Disciplines — understanding daily practices that cultivate spiritual growth


    By the end, you’ll walk away with a solid, confident foundation for your journey with Jesus—ready to grow, deepen, and live out your faith every day.

  • 301

    Connections 301 is designed to equip you to step confidently into the unique purpose God has for your life. This class helps you discover how your gifts, passions, and story can make a meaningful impact—both inside the church and out in the world.


    In this class, you’ll learn how to:

    • Discover Your Spiritual Gifts — understand how God has uniquely wired you
    • Find Your Place to Serve — identify opportunities in the church and the community
    • Share Your Faith — live out the Gospel with confidence in everyday moments
    • Lead with a Servant’s Heart — embrace a lifestyle of generosity, humility, and mission


    By the end, you’ll be ready to step into your calling with clarity, purpose, and impact—living out your faith for God’s Kingdom wherever you go.

  • Tuesday

    The Young and the Rest of Us

    A group that spans all ages, with or without children. This group believes strongly that fellowship and Bible study will help you grow into the man or woman God has called you to be. Their mission is studying God’s Word and having open conversations about the meaning and understanding of the scriptures. This group meets at the church every Tuesday at 6:45 p.m..

  • Wednesday

    Kingdom Seekers

    In this day and age people are all seeking something to grab a hold too. We know that person is Jesus. We will be seeking a stronger relationship with Him and each other as we meet and do life together. We will be studying the Word of God, to grow our faith and our relationships. Come and join us on-site every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.!


    Team Up

    Join us each Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the church for a warm time of Bible study, meaningful fellowship, and personal growth.


    Brillar (Spanish & English)

    Join us for Brillar—which means “to shine”—every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Together, we will learn the purpose of God in our lives and how to share the light and life of Jesus in our community. All language abilities are welcome!

  • Thursday

    Classic Rock

    We support one another by sharing the roots of our faith in Christ and the ways we have been blessed and challenged by the Holy Spirit, all to the glory of God. We provide opportunities for spiritual growth, meaningful connection, and service to others, grounded on the rock—Christ Jesus. Most members are couples age 50+ who grew up on classic rock and now seek to experience the Rock of Christ as the cornerstone of their lives. The group meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in various members’ homes on a rotating basis.

  • General Groups

    Rock Bottom

    This support group is a weekly meeting for those who need assistance and support with drug and/or alcohol addiction. Men or women may join this group at any time. There is no cost to attend. Complete anonymity is observed. Please contact David Carpenter at 704-524-8934.


    Called to Love

    The Foster Care and Adoption Support group is here to help anyone who needs information or resources pertaining to fostering or adoption. This group meets regularly on various days and times.

  • Administration

    Our Administration Ministry helps take care of the tasks that keep Connections Church running.

  • Care

    The Care Ministry is here to walk alongside our church family through every season of life, offering prayer, encouragement, and practical support when it’s needed most.


    The Connections Care Center, located in the church lobby, is a welcoming place to share a care need. Care Cards are available there and can be placed in the Care Box so our team can follow up with love and discretion.


    Our ministry includes:

    • Connections Stitches – prayer blankets and prayer cloths lovingly prepared and prayed over
    • Hot Meals on Wheels – meals for individuals or families during times of illness, recovery, loss, new babies, or other care needs
    • Grief Support – compassionate care for those walking through loss
    • Card Team – notes and cards of prayer and encouragement
    • Crisis Support – care during unexpected or urgent situations
    • Visitation Team – trained volunteers offering prayer and presence through home and hospital visits
    • Funeral Meal Ministry – meals provided for families around the time of a funeral service


    Through each of these ministries, our desire is simple: to ensure no one in our church family feels alone.

  • Front Line

    Our Front Line Ministry is responsible for making our guests feel welcome and known. They serve in areas like parking, greeters, next steps, and our coffee bar.

  • Kids

    Our Connect Kids Ministry provides a safe, fun, and age‑appropriate environment for infants through 5th graders to learn about Jesus in creative and meaningful ways. Our dedicated team also hosts engaging events and Bible classes throughout the year.


    It’s a BLAST on Wednesday nights too! Students in grades K–5 enjoy a safe, high‑energy environment filled with exciting activities, engaging lessons about Jesus, and small groups broken down by grade so kids can connect and grow with peers their age. It all takes place at 6:00 p.m. at the church.

  • Marketing

    Our Marketing Ministry leads all promotional efforts—from social media to print materials—to help share what God is doing at Connections Church. They collaborate with the media/production team to design engaging graphics and maintain a clear, compelling online presence.

  • Media & Production

    Our Media & Production Ministry manages all technical elements—lighting, sound, video, graphics, and facility support—to ensure every service runs with excellence.

  • Men’s

    Our Men's Ministry coordinates and organizes events throughout the year for all men 18+.

  • Missions & Outreach

    Our Missions & Outreach Ministry aims to mobilize Connections Church to bring the Gospel locally and internationally, and to strengthen evangelism, compassion ministry, and prepare teams to take the Gospel outside our walls--all under prayer, unity, and God’s protection.

  • Prayer

    Our Prayer Ministry consists of a group of men and women who are ready at a moment’s notice to join up in prayer.

  • Safety

    Our Safety Ministry helps review and implement our policies and procedures for safe assemblies and protocols at Connections.

  • Students

    Our Connections Students Ministry focuses on leading students to desire God as they grow in their faith and community through events, worship and small group classes for our students from 6th through 12th grade. This ministry meets every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at the church.

  • Women’s

    Our Women's Ministry plans and organizes multiple events throughout the year for all women 18+ such as an annual women’s conference and fun fellowship events like game nights or craft days.

  • Worship

    Our Worship Ministry helps to plan, organize, and perform during our services. Auditions are held for those who feel called to serve in this ministry.

  • Young Adults

    Our Young Adults Ministry helps young adults, from ages 18-29, fix their eyes on Jesus by learning how to read and study the Bible. Each week, we break down a chapter together, asking real questions and having honest conversations that deepen understanding and faith. This ministry meets every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the church.
