Missions and Outreach

One of the most important aspects of Connections Outreach is offering the Gospel to people in hope that they will enter into a personal relationship with Jesus.

A vital part of our Christian faith is fellowship. It is our desire that as we fellowship together, we will have unity with the Holy Spirit; to strengthen our faith and relationships.

We love because he first loved us. And we give to those in need of assistance because we care for others, just as God cared for us by giving us His Son.

Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?

When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Matthew 25:37-40

It is our "mission" at Connections to reach people both inside our local community and those located around the world. We do this through mission teams who travel to serve with other with missionaries to help bring the love and kindness of Jesus.

As you may know, Joey and Kellie Weed are the CL founders and administrators, whose home church is Connections. The Weed family, along with other Hondurans and missionaries are all eagerly awaiting our return. With your help, CL helps local churches and families by providing a food program, educational assistance, and discipleship. The Weeds live full time in this ministry in Honduras.

Our newest outreach opportunity is our homeless ministry, Displaced Roses, founded by Kyle and Kristine Ahrens. We know that as Christ Believers, we are called to minister to and help those that are downtrodden. Sometimes, all it takes to change the world (and someone's life) is a little support and to be treated with love and respect. Our homeless outreach ministry serves those living on the streets on a weekly basis. We provide a hot meal, snacks, clothes, blankets, basic essentials, and most importantly hope. Through all of our endeavors, we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs, which is the power of the love of JESUS!

Please consider volunteering, giving a donation or both.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
